Bigfoot character

The bigfoot character for an upcoming animated short. I really love that he seems kinda... well, dopey hahaha. Here I'm trying to find a color scheme that works. I've decided against the red hair because it seems like there are a lot of animated ginger bigfoots out there already.

As far as the project as a whole, I'm getting into designing the backgrounds and doing a second pass on the storyboards.

Mech Soldier

Just found my set of watercolors that I've been looking for! That means there will probably be more water color sketches here in the future yay.

I did this today at work while I was waiting on renders to finish in After Effects. This began as a warm up gesture drawing that had weird proportions and went with the first thing that came to mind. A robot battle suit. Don't erase bad drawings in your sketchbook, just draw over them! I constantly go back to old pages and draw more on them. Maybe thats why it takes me so long to finish a sketchbook.

Sketchbook warm-ups

A few gesture drawings i did using Pixelovely.com. Sometimes when a drawing turns out really interesting I like to go back later to flesh it out a little more or add whatever kind of character first pops into my head.

Pissed Dragon

A sketch of a dragon. I'm trying to get myself back into sketching more. So here what will hopefully be the first of many post from my sketchbook. I really liked doing this cause 1) Its a fuckin dragon! and 2) I liked playing around with the textures like scales and the veins in the wing.

Preproduction Sketches and Notes

These are sketches I made when I was learning about bird anatomy and how they fly. Some are from life, others from books or youtube videos.
