Another day in the desert


Acrylic painting based on my time working as a field guide at Redcliff Ascent wilderness therapy program. This was a challenging piece because I had such a clear idea of how I wanted it to look in my mind and working the paint to match that idea took a long time. Also, this is the first time I have tried to capture the likeness of a person in a painting. In the detail image below are two of my great friends and coworkers from the Utah desert.
